I still remember a couple of years ago when I was a new parent at WMAAA. I didn't use the pickup line after school at first. I was trying to gracefully juggle my then kindergartner, my toddler, my friend's daughter, and all of their belongings (including a couple of booster seats). I was trying to act like I had it altogether and didn't need help. :) I think Courtney could sense I needed a little extra hand. She was right there helping me put everything together and assisting me to the car. At the time, I didn't even know who she was or where she came from. I just thought she was an angelic mom who sensed my need for some help on my first days of pickup. It seems as though she just had the gift of sensing where to be when someone needed her. <3
Also, my daughter never had her as a teacher, but Mrs. Frazine still left a lasting impression on me. She always looked so upbeat outside directing traffic in the afternoon (even in the cold). Sometimes in the pickup line I wouldn't have my orange sign taped up or clipped so I held it up against the windshield. :) But she gave me a friendly "thumbs up" as soon as she saw me and started announcing the name seemingly before she even read the sign. It seems like she knew who all of us were even if our children didn't actually have her as a teacher.
