Courtney Marie Frazine's Obituary
A bright light went out on December 9, 2017 in Fruitport. Everyone knew Courtney’s smile and cheerfulness; she made life fun and her unexpected death leaves us all saddened and shocked. On December 16, 1977, Courtney was born to Ken and Sue Cooper in Grand Haven. She graduated from Fruitport High School and continued her education at Aquinas College earning a teaching degree. Courtney taught at Fruitport Schools, Waypoint Academy (Muskegon) and West Michigan Academy of Arts & Academics (Spring Lake). On September 13, 2003, Courtney married Duane Frazine and he survives her along with their two children, Fynnley Marie (8) and Fletcher Lindale (5). Courtney’s survivors also include her parents, Ken and Sue Cooper; sister, Tonika (Zeke) Ohan; brother, Carson (Lori) Cooper; in-laws, Duane Sr. & Mary Frazine; three nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul A. Cooper. Visitation with family and friends will be from 4-8 PM Thursday, December 14, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 15, 2017 at The Lee Chapel with Rev. Donna Rick officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider the education fund for Courtney’s children at Shelby State Bank (6448 Airline Rd., Fruitport 49415), checks payable to Duane Frazine, account #5375.
