Cresson G. Sanford's Obituary
Cresson G. Sanford, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. He was born on July 11, 1934 to Ivan and Edith (Gilbert) Sanford in Alanson, MI. Prior to the year 1999, he had worked as a tool and die machinist at Midwest Machine. Sandy was extremely crafty and could build anything, but also enjoyed gardening, moose hunting and reading poetry. On May 14, 1983, he married Kathleen Bean and she survives him along with her 3 children, Vickie Goalen, Julie (Steve) Matthews, Melissa (Larry) Rendulic, and his 6 children from a previous marriage, Gary Sanford, Dennis (Sheila) Sanford, Cindy (Ken) Coy, Pam (John) Parsons, Andrew Sanford, Clint (Rachel) Sanford; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Ivan (Sandy) Sanford and sisters, Phyllis (Jack) Lehner, Mary Mason, Winnie Hollopeter as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Edith; 3 sisters, Maude Godzick, Ruby Wiertalla and infant Roxanna Sanford; 2 brother-in-laws, Maynard and Horace; and son-in-law, George Goalen.
