Cynthia Ann (Sagan) Winsemius' Obituary
Mrs. Cynthia Ann (Sagan) Winsemius, age 55, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 7, 1956 in Enid, OK, to Daniel and MaryLou (Devine) Sagan and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She worked as an early elementary teacher for Muskegon Catholic Elementary School for a number of years and later worked at the Hoffmaster Nature Center. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was very involved on the Mona Lake Watershed Committee. SURVIVORS include her 4 children, David (Tashina) Winsemius of Muskegon, Steve (Lindsey) Winsemius of Muskegon, Andy (Michelle) Winsemius of Irvine, CA, MaryAnn Winsemius of Maumee, OH; 3 grandchildren, Evan, Ariana, and Gianna; her mother, MaryLou Sagan of Muskegon; her former spouse, Dick (Patti) Winsemius of Muskegon; 2 sisters, Sue (Tim) Sorensen and Kate (Todd) Brown both of Muskegon; 2 brothers, Pat (Shelly) Sagan of Grand Haven, Joe Sagan of Lansing; 1 sister-in-law, Kathy Sagan of Muskegon; her Godparents, Edwin and Marilyn Sagan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, and 1 brother, Tom Sagan. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, September 29, 2011, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato as celebrant. INTERMENT will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be 5-8 PM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey Street, (231) 798-1100. The Rosary will be prayed at 8:00 PM Wednesday evening. Visitation will also be held 10-11 AM Thursday in Marian Chapel at St. Francis.
