Dale R. Walters' Obituary
Mr. Dale R. Walters, age 73, passed away March 17, 2011 at his home. He was born on April 12, 1937 to Clarence and Ethelyn (Vinton) Walters. Dale attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Alice. He also served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960. Dale and Alice met while roller skating/dancing in El Paso, Texas. Prior to his retirement he worked as a machinist at Muskegon Piston Ring. Dale truly loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them participate in sporting events. On November 10, 1960 he married Alice Dickson in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and she survives him along with their son, Mark (Kathy) Walters; 3 grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Jensen, Eric and Alex Walters; sister, Sandra (Louis) Branch and brothers, Darrel (Carol) Walters and Bob (Marilyn) Walters. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11AM Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1725 W. Giles Rd.) with Bishop David Thornock officiating. VISITATION will be 6-8 PM Monday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials to American Diabetes Association.
