Daniel J. "Gipper" Boisvert's Obituary
Daniel Joseph “Gipper” Boisvert, age 68, was reunited in January 2026 with his beloved wife, Carolyn; his parents, Shirley and Thornton; and his sister, Mary. Born on September 15, 1957, Dan built 68 years of memories filled with love, laughter, and stories.
Dan earned the nickname “Gipper” during his years at Oakridge High School, where he inspired his football teammates with determination and heart. Like the famous rallying cry, “Let’s win one for the Gipper,” his teammates saw him as worth playing for-- and the name stuck long after graduation in 1975.
In July 1985, he married Carolyn (Buckner) Boisvert. In 2021, Dan retired from his career to care for Carolyn full-time while she battled Alzheimer's disease. In those years, he showed what love truly looks like-- patient, gentle, and steadfast. This was a defining chapter for many who knew him.
Outside of work, his heart belonged to his 1967 Pontiac GTO. He cleared his head under the hood, tuning, fixing, and polishing, bringing the classic muscle car to life before taking it to shows alongside his little sister, Dawn. Those moments, side by side at car shows, were among the ones he cherished most.
Above all else, Dan was a storyteller. He would always start by saying: “Now, you’ll get a kick out of this.” He could turn an ordinary day into something extraordinary by retelling it with a mischievous glint in his eye. His stories will continue to echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his son, Daniel Joseph Boisvert II, and his wife, Lauren; his daughter, Cassandra, and her six children; and his beloved sister, Dawn Boisvert.
According to his wishes, private family services will be held.
