I was Daniel's cousin through marriage to Vivian Melin. Vivian was my first cousin and her parents were my Uncle Rubin and Aunt Rose. Rubin was my dad's brother. My parents were Herbert and Helen Melin. We move to Minnesota in 1958. I use to visit them back in the 50s at their Mona Lake home. They were much older but fun to be around. I have fond memories of those visits. RIP Daniel.

RIP Dan. Say hello to everyone. Heaven WELCOMES you

Dan and I went into the army together and got out together. I will always remember that steak dinner we had at his sister's eating place (think it was called Fingers on Plainfield Ave.) We were on our way home from Fort Custer after being separated from service. Rolland Huff from Muskegon was also with us. Dan was always very helpful to me during our two years in the infantry.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dan was a great guy, and funny! Lots of fishes in Heaven for him to catch!

Rest in Peace Uncle Hoo. I have so many great childhood memories of you. You made every family celebration an event to remember. You had the best sense of humor and you were so full of life. I can't think of you and not smile.
