Daniel Lee Major Sr.'s Obituary
Daniel Lee Major Sr., age 63, passed away on November 23, 2025, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Muskegon, MI on October 7, 1962, to William and Ruby (Lackey) Major. Growing up, Dan attended Muskegon High School and finished his education in the Army. After serving honorably in the military, Dan went on to work for Miller Knoll as a truck driver.
When Dan wasn’t working, you could find him either on the lake fishing or on the grill cooking, with a bonfire behind him. He also enjoyed working in his garage. What he cherished most though, was time spent with his family and friends.
Dan is survived by his 3 children, Daniel Jr. (Jessica), Matt (Melissa) and Ashley (Bryan); 6 grandchildren, Aiden, Kayla, Destani, Abigail, Rowan and Tucker; 3 sisters, Denise (Mike), Deb and Pam; 2 aunts, Shirley and June; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David; and sister, Charlotte.
