Dan was the brother I never had. He always came over whether it was to share the holidays, enjoy family cookouts or simply say hello. I recall one evening after dinner he mentioned that he loved looking at the stars. He said, “I love looking at the stars, it’s just that my glasses are so darn thick, I don’t know if they’re stars or just the scratches on my glasses. Oh well, someday I’ll be up there looking down on all of you’s." He was a good man and I will surely miss him. I will take comfort in knowing that he is among the stars, watching over us.
