Grandpa Dan,
You are missed dearly and I surely will miss your smile! You may be gone in presence, but you will never be forgotten.
When I told Jared that you had gone to Heaven, he asked me if you were an angel now. I just smiled and told him "of course he is, he's watching over you now".
I like to think that you are watching over all of us, guiding us and protecting us. Say hello to my Aunt Cindy and brother Bryan now that you're in Heaven. Let them get to know a great man that we all had the honor and privilege of having in our lives.
For now, this poem is fitting. We will remember what a wonderful man you are and the way you would love to be remembered; celebrating life with a smile on your face!
Love Never Disappears
Love never disappears for death is a non-event.
I have merely retired to the room next door.
You and I are the same; what we were for each other, we still are.
Speak to me as you always have, do not use a different tone, do not be sad.
Continue to laugh at what made us laugh.
Smile and think of me.
Life means what it has always meant.
The link is not severed.
Why should I be out of your soul if I am out of your sight?
I will wait for you; I am not here, but just on the other side of this path.
You see, all is well.
With lots of love and until the day we'll see you again,
Tom, Kendra (Wedgie), Jared and Kayla##imported-begin##Kendra Teerman##imported-end##
