Aunt Marian, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of Uncle Dan's passing. We have many great memories of growing up in Grand Haven in the 1950's before moving to Florida and all the fun our families had when gathering for holidays and events. Uncle Dan's haircuts in the basement when we were kids or boatrides on the lake and river always brings back nice memories. Uncle Dan was a wonderful man on many different levels and he will be missed by all. Take care and we'll be seeing you. Tom & Gale##imported-begin##Tom & Gale McMahon##imported-end##
Mike,
I'm very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I remember him well from when we were kids, first as my grandfather's neighbor, sitting in the breezeway with your mom, then later as you and I became good friends. He was always the "source" for our basement experiments and projects. I also seem to remember his Venture albums as our original musical inspirations. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Westra Family,
What a giant of a man Dan was. Always that beautiful smile and a warm welcome anytime we'd see him. He stopped by the office often and we always enjoyed talking. We remember with delight, all the years you lived in the neighborhood. We saw Dan several times at the Nursing Home and he always was very upbeat about being there. May God bless each of you as your strength is tested throughout the coming days. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Thinking of all of you.##imported-begin##Ken/Bev MacLeod##imported-end##
I fondly remember Dan Westra as "Mr. Westra." His son, Mike Westra, and I are good friends. I will always remember Dan Westra's patience, and the confidence he seemed to always have in others (including me). My deepest and sincerest condolences to Mike, Mrs. Westra, and family.##imported-begin##Mark A. Krohn##imported-end##
To Mrs. Westra and Family,
We will miss having Dan in the neighborhood. He was a great neighbor and friend. We always enjoyed our sidewalk and driveway chats.
God Bless.
