Always such a prankster. I will never forget all of the pranks he has pulled on all of us kids growing up. Starting out small by locking us in a dog cage and making us beg for treats and linking all the kids together with the Chinese fingers things and then moving on to much bigger pranks as we got older. The one that plays vividly in my mind is the time he gave me a bunch of lotto tickets on my 18th birthday and little did I know there was a fake mixed in. I had believed I won 10k on a dollar ticket and was balling my eyes out so happy I won that money. Even called to thank him! Haha. I was bummed it was a joke but I can appreciate one just as much. Many people are going to miss him because although he played a lot of pranks and acted like a tough guy, he had a huge heart and did a lot for his family and the community. RIP Uncle Daryl. ❤️
Daryl was an outstanding man who went out of his way to help folks. In my many years at Oakridge High School, I took our football golf carts to him to be repaired. He would gladly fix them, or suggest junking them, and then remind me to tell the players and managers to take it easy on the carts. He eagerly helped our program. He was a man who always cared for others. I truly appreciated his help and loyalty to our football team.
Our thoughts and prayers are with each family member in the weeks ahead as you remember all he meant to you and to our community.

Amy, Madison and Chris your dad and grandpa was truly a great guy. Prayers and hugs for comfort and peace until you are united with him again. He left a big void in a lot of lives but also left some pretty wonderful memories most of which we will chuckle at and remember with ❤️. RIP Daryl.
