I lived down the street from Dave. We were close friends through high school, playing cards, shooting hoops, shooting pool driving around. We were both in band. Dave played tenor sax. After graduation (and with the draft hanging over our heads) we had a great summer in Pentwater after graduation in 1967. That summer remains as a great memory of the end of my youth. Dave's parents and his sister Mary and her husband were always very kind to us teens. Dave had a terrific sense of humor. He is missed.

I can think of many cherished moments with David. When I was young and he married my sister he would always play battleship with me and he always teased me about dogs being smarter than cats. ( which we all know isn't true). I always enjoyed being around Dave and will miss him very much. May he rest easy now and enjoy taking care of Gabriel.
