Bishop Gruss, as well as the priests, deacons, religious and lay faithful in the Diocese of Saginaw, are lifting up Loretta and the Kasprzyk family in prayer at this difficult time. We pray for consolation and strength for the family, parish staff, and for the parishioners whom Deacon Dave so generously served. May he experience eternal joy in God's loving presence... - Dr. Dan Osborn, Office of the Permanent Diaconate, Diocese of Saginaw

Deacon Dave helped me a better person and he will be missed
Jo and I loved our time with Deacon Dave and Loretta during the years of our Pilgrim’s Way group at Our Lady of Grace. Dave will always be on our prayers and in our hearts.
God speed, friend, and May your rest in His eternal peace!
Dcn Dave and Loretta were the interviewing couple from the Grand Rapids Diocese when my husband entered the Aspirant program for the permanent diaconate. Almost twenty years later, Dave continues to be an inspirational example of ministry and service to God's people for my husband and many other deacons in the Grand Rapids and Saginaw dioceses. Now he enjoys the company of angel's and saints at the eternal banquet of the Lord.
A good friend and faithful servant of the Lord. I will miss his colorful sermans and stories. May Deacon Dave rest in eternal peace.
