On February 15, 1969, he married Loretta Jean Burzynski in Gaylord, MI. He worked as a teacher for the Birch Run Public Schools for 7.5 years and Catholic High Schools in Saginaw for 2 years and spent his last 20 years at Holton Public Schools until he retired in 2005. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #13035. Dave enjoyed camping, golfing, gardening and spent many summers helping to remodel or build homes. Dave and his family enjoyed touring the National Parks and took pleasure in the natural splendor of our country. He particularly enjoyed the camping trips that he was able to share with his children and their families over the last seven years. Dave was the Captain of the “Hot Mess Express” and the family camper convoy was always a force to be reckoned with on the roads. When not camping, Dave and Loretta spent their summers tending to their large vegetable garden. He enjoyed golfing, especially with his sons-in-law. Dave was known at Holton High School for his crazy ties and plaid pants, which were most often worn together. Dave truly loved his work as a Deacon and continued to minister to His flock until his death. Survivors include his loving wife, Loretta J.
