Mr. David Allen Rice's Obituary
Mr. David Allen Rice, age 74, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020, at his home. He was born June 11, 1946 to Lewis Hayes and Inez Jewel (Pendlum) Rice in Salt Lick, Kentucky, and moved to Shelby, MI where he grew up and went to school. He later moved to the Muskegon area. He was a U.S. Army veteran. David worked at Misco-Howmet for several years before owning E & V Produce. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and going to have coffee with the boys on Saturday mornings. On January 10, 1970 he married Karen E. Symons, and she survives him along with 2 daughters, Tiffany Lynn (Thomas) Proksa and Jeannine Denise Rice; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Andrew and Adelle Proksa; siblings, Mayme Patten, Lou (Al) Hubbell and Thomas Rice. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Cledis, Clayton and Robert Lee Rice, and sister Geraldine Harp. Private family services will be held, with interment in Norton Cemetery.
