I will truly miss my good neighbor Dave. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family. RIP Dave!!
They gave us one of the kindest persons you'll ever know who do just about anything for you. I loved him like a brother and I will miss him very very much !!!!
My uncle Dave was the funniest person I knew. He was always willing to hang out with us kids. And as we kids got older, he never changed. He was still so goofy and always made jokes and lit up every room he was in. I always looked forward to seeing him at family gatherings, especially the Ugly Christmas Sweater parties.
I remember the first time I met Dave. I was struggling to build a large toy boat. Dave stepped in and offered "let me take this home for you and put it together, it will only take a few minutes". He volunteered his time to make my life easier. We didn't even know each other for 5 minutes! It was such a relief to have help. I can see this is the kind of person that he was... Giving.
When I think of my friend Dave--whom I often referred to as "Little Davey Sorenson"--I can't help but think of the fruits of the Spirit: in particular, I'm grateful to God for Dave's love, his joy, his kindness, and his gentleness. I will miss him greatly, but I'm also grateful for the hope that is ours in Jesus, a hope that is now made real in eternity for Dave. Even in saying good-bye and expressing sorrow over the loss of a good man, I can say God is good. Because he is.
Delivering flowers with Dave at Trinity on day. I was driving that day and went over a speed bump. Dave didn't like them so. I was given a parking lot tour. He showed me every way to get out without a speed bump. I will miss that man and his sense of humor. Until we meet again you will always be in my thoughts.
