My earliest memories of Aunt Debbie were when I was about 4 or 5 years old. My brother and I were at their house playing in the fort with Dan & David. She cooked the best egg noodle & cabbage casserole and I believe this may have been why I gained weight the summer before Kindergarten and never wore a bikini again. :)
We always had such a good time with her and uncle Dave because there was always something to do. My first ride on a three wheeler was in the woods behind their house and I'm still amazed I made it out alive.
So many weekend nights of watching the family play cards at our house, their house, Aunt Deb & Uncle Harold's house and even her parents house on Porter Rd. There was a lot of laughter and good times. I once took a drink from her Pepsi can at a card party with an old cigarette in it and until this day, I do not like Pepsi.
Aunt Debbie was such a kind soul. She always made me feel welcome and just like Emily said on Facebook, it didn't matter if she knew you only one day or forever, you were always welcomed like family.
Losing Aunt Debbie is so heartbreaking because she had so much more love to give, however, I am glad she is no longer suffering. She is cherished by so many and I will never forget her. Her memories will live forever in my heart. God Bless
