Dena Marie Jansen-(Yee), age 58, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018. She was born on January 25, 1960 to Robert and Bernadine (Grifka) Jansen in Detroit, MI. She was raised by her parents in a devout Polish Catholic home in Mad Read Obituary
Dena and I met at the University of Michigan when she was 18 and I was 19. She lived down the hall from me in our dorm. We became fast friends with her sense of humor and love of a good time. We lost touch when Chris and Dena moved out west but reconnected when they returned to Michigan. We watched each other's kids grow up, worked together and shared many fun times as families and couples. She was one of my lifelong friends and I will miss her dearly.
I went school with her and recently reconnected. I am sad I went all these years and only had 6 months to catch up. She was quite a Lady. Sorry for your loss.
As Dena’s Aunt, I saw Dena grow up from a little girl to a college student to a married woman. She was very special right from the beginning- very smart, well educated, & she could argue her point whether it was right or wrong 😁. She could easily have been a lawyer. I loved her wit & great intelligence. I am SO sorry to see her go , but know she is dancing with all the Jansens’ , Sniciekowskis’ & other friends in heaven. Rest in peace dear Dena. Dena was my neighbor very sweet, she hired my daughter to walk Hazel and they both liked that very much. We will miss her as a great neighbor and friend. Prayers to the family.
