Mrs. Diane M. Patton's Obituary
Mrs. Diane M. Patton, age 72, passed away Saturday evening, October 20, in Muskegon. She was born July 15, 1940 to Lyle C. and Mary (Slater) Monette in Muskegon, and was a life resident of the W. Michigan area. Mrs. Patton was a teacher for the Orchard View Schools for 7 years, and then was elected as the Treasurer for Muskegon Township where she served for 20 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, where she also served on the finance committee, volunteered for Love, Inc., and was a Mary Kay Consultant. On August 2, 1968 she married Roger C. Patton, and he survives her along with 4 children, Claire M. (Carl) Meyers of Ravenna, Clark M. (Sandy) Patton of Fremont, Scott M. (Gudrun) Patton of Howell, Mary D. (Tim Maat) Patton of Muskegon; many beloved grandchildren; 1 brother, Lyle G. Monette of Holton; 5 sisters, Pamela (Robert) Lascko of Holton, Felicia (Michael) Williams of TX, Denise (Greg) McDaniel of Fremont, Kendra (William) Rogers of Louisville, KY, Janene Chisek of Mt. Pleasant; many nieces and nephews. A MEMORIAL MASS will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Brunswick, with the Rev. Fr. Roc Majalla presiding. Burial will take place in St. Michael Catholic Church Cemetery in Brunswick. VISITATION with the family will be from 5-8 PM Thursday evening at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., The Walburn Chapel, Muskegon,1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565.
