Dee was a great step mom. I didn't get to know her until I was a teen, but she was always non-judgemental and lots of fun. As the years went on she was grandma to my children in California. When she moved to Muskegon we had lost contact for awhile, but I am so happy she had Marty and his family to surround her with the love she deserved. She was a very special lady and I loved her a lot. She will be missed.
Our entire family is devastated by the passing of our Grandma Dee. She brought so much happiness and love into my mother’s life and to every one she met. Her beautiful, kind soul and fun personality were wanted at every family function. A specific memory I have is of meeting her at fun kid restaurants when I was little. After not having visited for a year and instead of leaving the children at home, my mother and Grandma Dee would plan to meet at ChuckeCheese. Grandma Dee was always so much fun. We will miss her thoughtfulness and hugs. We will miss our Grandma Dee. ❤️
My Grandma Dee was one of the most gracious and kind women I’ve ever known. I’ll always remember her patience and tinkling laughter. I wish that I had gotten to know her more as an adult and friend. I know that she was loved by Marty and her family and that gives me peace that I didn’t have the relationship with her that I should have, because she had a very full life.
