Dolores Ann Wingett's Obituary
Mrs. Dolores Ann Wingett, age 72, passed away early Friday, June 16, 2006. She was born June 22, 1933 in Manistique, MI to Andrew and Genevieve (Nelson) Faketty and was a resident of the Muskegon area for most of her life. Mrs. Wingett was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was Past-President of their Altar Society for several years. She belonged to the Westshore Sweet Adelines and worked on the Muskegon Heights City Planning Commission. She loved to crochet and enjoyed singing. Mrs. Wingett had worked for Muskegon Heights Board of Education for 20 years before retiring in 1996. On August 1, 1953 she married Robert F. Wingett in Muskegon, and he survives her along with 4 children, Robert L. Wingett, Karen A. (Brian) Avdek, Patrick L. (Michelle) Wingett all of Muskegon, Brian F. (Nancy) Wingett of Hesperia; 8 grandchildren, Mike, Nate, Anastasia and Justin Avdek, Kelsey and Austin Wingett, Joe (Rachel) and Andy Wingett; 2 sisters, Bonnie (George) Berry and Kay Wingett both of Muskegon; and many special nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wingett was preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, William Wingett. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11 AM Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. James B. Wyse presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with the Rosary being prayed at 7 PM. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana Poppen House or American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
