Mr. Donald F. Ecklesdafer's Obituary
Mr. Donald F. Ecklesdafer, 82, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ Friday evening, April 11, 2014. Born February 23, 1932 in Marenisco, MI to Francis and Lila (Ross) Ecklesdafer, he had been a salesman for Steindler Paper Co. for 42 years before retiring in 1992. Don moved several times over his career, and was actively involved in his church at each place. He was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Muskegon, Rockford Baptist Church, West Cannon Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist of Ludington, and currently Dalton Baptist Church. He had been a trustee at Cornerstone University, and was a Gideon. HIS SURVIVORS include his wife, the former Donna Mae Highway; children: Diane (Rev. Robert) Davies, Mark (Donna) Ecklesdafer, and David (Louayne) Ecklesdafer; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, John “Jack” (Jill) Ecklesdafer; and a sister, Marge Storem. THE FUNERAL SERVICE for Donald Ecklesdafer will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Dalton Baptist Church (3777 Holton Road) with Pastors Robert DeWitt and Robert Davies officiating, and interment in Oakgrove Cemetery, Montague. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service, 10-11 A.M. at the Church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Dalton Baptist Church or The Gideons would be appreciated.
