I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I can still hear your dad's laugh and see his big smile when we would be singing crazy songs or telling scary stories in the crawl space. Your house was a second home for many years to me, and your dad (and mom) always made me feel a part of the Munster brood. The church and community are not as bright without your dad's cheerful glow.

Your dad sounds like he was much loved by the community and a faithful servant of the Lord. I know how hard this year has been on you and your family. You handled it with humor and grace and prayer -- all the things your dad taught you. I lost my dad at the age of 64, too. His was a sudden heart attack and yours was a painful, physical and emotional roller coaster for your dad and your family as you watched your dad suffer. It is never fun and I hurt for you and your family that the journey has ended. We all know your dad is better off now, but I know the loss and sadness will be a part of you for the rest of your lives. With God's help and your friends it does get easier to bear.
