Dear Dale, Kim and Kittie,
Well, both your Mom and Dad are home with the Lord. The youngest of the Nelson brothers was a special one. As a child I knew his Mom and heard about his Dad through my friend, Adele, though gone before I know him. That's how long I've known some of your family. Your folks were always faithful at Lakeside and many times would visit Little Black Lake Church where your Dad grew up and Lysle and I attended for several years as young adults. Tall and friendly with a warm smile for everyone, your Dad was there to be of service whenever and wherever needed. I did not know he was a WWII vet. Most didn't even say so back then, all part of the greatest generation.
May the Lord be near and dear to you at this time of loss. May heaven be nearer and more real to each of your family. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." We are unable to attend the funeral but will hold you in our prayers as you celebrate a life lived for Jesus, your precious Dad.
