I am so sorry. I worked with Don at Evans Products and again at Bastian Blessing. He was truly a remarkable man. Don gave me a ride to and from work for almost a year while we were at Evans Products (in his favorite car, the big gray Lincoln. We had so much fun on those short rides, I think of him often because of those memories.Sandy, I remember the day you guy's came to my house to tell me that you had gotten married. He couldn't say why you were there (for some reason)so you told me. That was a very happy day for you and for me, because he cared enough to stop and tell me. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.

When I first met Don he sacred the bajeasies out of me...for an hour. The second day I worked at Harbor Ind. (8 years ago) I walked into his office {at that point semi-scared of him} I sat down and we started to, as Don would to say "chew the fat" and then he pulled out the charm... those ever wonderful turtles and cashews, however the true charm was in Don. I use to get a kick out of Sales people that would come into the office for the first time (Don and I would play a little game) I would call him, to let him know who was there to see him, he would raise his voice and maybe swear (so they could hear), I would look startled, and then send the poor sales person in to see him...but not without getting them all worked up first. I had so much fun with him. I enjoyed running into Don and his beautiful wife Sandra at Turks on Thursday nights, Big Burrito Night. Don was and will always remain a special treasure to me and many others, he is often in my thoughts. What a Gem! I worked for several years with Don at Harbor Industries. He was a wonderful man. I particularly enjoyed his off beat sense of humor and always looked forward to seeing him. Dear Sandy, I am so very sorry for your loss. I know this is so very hard for you, when we worked together at MI Bulb, you always talked about your husband, how much you loved him and how happy you were, and that you had alot of fun hunting with him. I am deeply saddened to hear of Don's passing. I worked closely with Don at Harbor Industries in the Purchasing Department. There wasn't a day that went by that he didn't make me laugh. He would rib me for having more vacation time than he did and when he left Harbor I missed those little jabs.

Don was such a special person to me. When I worked at Harbor as the HR person, he was one of my "breaths of fresh air." Honest, forthright. He spoke the truth all the time, cut through the BS and worked hard. He was a private person but knew that people cared very much about him. When he got cancer, he never really gave up. I respected that he retired so he could go home and spend time with his wife and family. He always knew his priorities. And God help those salemen who wasted his time! Or shipped product late!
