Doris married my father-in-law in 1986. Our two children were quite young at the time. Two years later, when I told her I was pregnant, she was so excited! Doris loved children, especially babies. Doris was a great conversationalist, too. Even when we visited with her the last couple of years, you could tell that she really wasn't sure who we were, but she knew all the proper questions to ask. "How are your children?" "How is your job going?" and so on. She always made you feel important and things were never about her. Most of all, her love for God shone through her life.
