Uncle Russ, Carol, Beth and Sara and family. We are so sorry for your loss. Aunt Doris was such a wonderful person and was alway so cheerful. I remember when we were kids and I spent the night at your house, Carol. I just loved it! Aunt Doris would let us stay up late, watch movies with her and eat good snacks. That was so great because at home we very seldom were able to do that! Nearly every time I saw her, she would laugh and tell me how I would call her Aunt "Dos" when I was little. She said she got such a kick out of that! We will miss her but she is safe in the arms of God and we will meet again! We love you Aunt "Dos"!

Our hearts go out to you & our thoughts & prayers are with you at this sad time. Aunt Doris was such a special part of my life growing up that it's going to be strange without her around. She was the best dill pickle maker. I know because I had my share of them while babysitting for Carol back in the day. I will miss her laugh & her wonderful sense of humor. I'm sure we will meet "on the other side" someday. Maybe she'll have a jar of those pickles for me. Aunt Pearl and I am so sorry that we will not be able to travel to Michigan for the memorial service. We are so sorry for your loss and we loved Aunt Doris so much. I wanted to share my own personal thought about Aunt Doris. She would be so proud to know that I grew up to be an expert level Scrabble player and I did this because of the way that she played Scrabble when I was growing up. She taught me to be skillful in my thinking and deliberate in the placement of my words on the board. Every time I play Scrabble and do so skillfully, people ask me "Where did you learn to play this game so well?" and I fondly say,"From my Aunt Doris". Farewell Aunt Doris, we will meet again. Dear Russ, Carol, Kent & family,

We are so very sorry to hear about Doris' passing. There just aren't enough words to describe what a wonderful lady she was and how much she will be missed by all who knew her. She was the most giving, loving, and gentle person it was our pleasure to know. Our hearts go out to you all in your loss. But remember, God now has one First-Class Angel in Heaven with Him now, and she will happily await the day when she can hold you all close to her once again.
