Douglas D. “Doug” Harris, age 68, met his Lord and Savior early Monday, May 31, 2021, after fighting cancer both with a courageous and stubborn demeanor. He was born on October 10, 1952, to Delbert and Delores (Castonia) Harris Jr in Muskegon, MI. Doug was a man of many trades; he was a salesman, a builder, and was also and entrepreneur. He was a dedicated employee to Plumbs, Howmet, and various companies. On November 24, 1989, he married the former Kathy (Wilson/Carnes) at Dalton Baptist Church. Together they cherished 31 years of marriage full of love and laughter. Doug was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing along with rifle hunting, but he was known to be an extreme bow hunter. In his spare-time he was known to be the “master of tinkering,” keeping himself busy with various projects. Doug was known to be a man with a great sense of humor always joking around with others. His radiant smile and boisterous laugh will truly be missed by many.
