Douglas Victor Kendall's Obituary
Mr. Douglas V. Kendall, age 66, of Spring Lake passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 at Heartwood Lodge. He was born May 13, 1948 in Grand Rapids to Robert and Florence (Stone) Kendall.
Doug was an active member of Ferrysburg Community Church. He was an avid musician and had been a member of the Rich Mounts Band. Doug enjoyed racing and was affiliated with A.S.A. Racing for several years. He also had a passion for wolves, and raised them for many years.
He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Simmons and Tracie Watson, both of Oregon; seven grandchildren; and special friend, Deb Trumley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Florence; sister, Diane King; and three brothers, Don, Dave, and Robert “Denny” Kendall.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 2, 2015 at Ferrysburg Community Church with Rev. Nathan Visker and Rev. Howard Vugteveen officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at church. Memorial contributions in memory of Doug may be given to Ferrysburg Community Church.
