Douglas Paul LeMieux's Obituary
Douglas Paul LeMieux, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 13, 2020. He was born on July 17, 1960 to Robert and Alice (Howell) LeMieux in Muskegon. Doug was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending every second he could with his family and friends. Doug enjoyed the outdoors where you could find him camping and fishing. One of his favorite pastimes was watching the Detroit Red Wings. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lori LeMieux; daughters, Ashlie (Andrew) Szatkowski, Stacey (David) Abdelkader, Stefanie LeMieux (Jon Ackley); grandchildren, Rilynn Szatkowski, Eliana Szatkowski, Mason Abdelkader, Kadin Abdelkader; mother, Alice LeMieux; sisters, Julie LeMieux, Sue LeMieux (Don); sisters-in-law, Debbie (Steve) Alcala, Karen Dunning and Becky Steighner. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert and grandparents. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Doug will be held at The Lee Chapel of The Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM with VISITATION taking place one hour prior to the service.
