I worked with Doug at Kandu for about one year. He started his job there at right about the same time that I got my job as a case manager. Doug taught me a lot about my job, about myself, and about the importance of the little things in life. He sure kept me busy some days but I will never forget his genuine love for life and his appreciation for the people in his life that he loved. I was saddened to hear the news of Doug's passing, but I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with him while he was here!##imported-begin##Katie Moloney##imported-end##

My husband and I and our two children use to live right behind your mom and dad and Doug. They were on Niece and we were on Hendrick. We lived right over the chain linked fence. We lived there for 26 years. We loved them all as neighbors. We had a cottage on Torch Lake, also. I remember the day that Doug had the accident with the dog and the lawn mower. He came over and was just sobbing and sobbing. We all felt so badly. Doug was a good boy and he will be missed by so many!!!
