All of us at the YMCA are really going to miss having Ed around. I'm going to miss my "hallway discussions" we so often had. He was a great guy.

Dear Nieuwenhuis Family and Friends,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one. Please accept my sincere condolences. I too have lost several loved ones in death, and the pain is tremendous, even with the passage of time. Thankfully, I have found relief in knowing that "The Most High God" is the “Hearer of Prayer”, and a source of tremendous comfort in times of grief and distress according to Psalms 83:18,and Psalms 65:2. Please be assured , death will soon be “swallowed up forever” and we will have the opportunity to see our dead loved ones again, as promised at John 5:28.29 and Isaiah 25:8. My family and I wish you and yours peace.

Sandy, there are no words to share how much Ed will be missed. To see his smile, to hear him give me a hard time about what arriving "on time" is, and how far do you travel before you stop for a coffee break and many more memories will be cherished. But, as I write them, it makes me smile thinking of all the wonderful, precious memories our families share, the four of us share. So grateful to have called him my special friend for over 30 years. Sandy and family, know that you have our love, our support, our sincere sympathy as you walk this journey in the next days, weeks and months.
