Edward Michiel Piasecki's Obituary
Mr. Edward Michiel Piasecki, age 95, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 in Bedford, TX. He was born August 25, 1916 to Waclaw and Lucy (Lewandowski) Piasecki in Milwaukee, WI. Mr. Piasecki worked as a tool and die maker for Northern Tool and Die, and Michigan Spring. He enjoyed dancing, golfing and gardening. Mr. Piasecki was married to Patricia M. Koch, and she preceded him in death on July 2, 1978. He later married Sophia Ann Champagne, and she preceded him in death on October 29, 2002. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Ron (Debra) Piasecki, Dorothy A. (Prince Humayun) Poland; grandchildren, Tracy Piasecki (Ben Lawrence), and her children Reid, Laney, and Tess Decker, and Lola Lawrence, Michael (Dina) Poland, and their children Cade, Sasha, and Dimitri, Renee Hunter, and her sons Michael and Zachary Moye, Doug Poland, and his sons DJ and Ethan. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Sidney Piasecki, Stella Novak, Walter Piasecki, Jackie (Jack) Oliver, Louise Sabin, Helen Scholle, and Mary Payne. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, February 3, 2012 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Marian Chapel, with the Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. Burial will take place at Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St.(231) 798-1100 will be from 6-8 PM Thursday evening, with the Rosary prayed at 6:00 PM.
