My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family, with fondest thoughts for especially Etta, Bert, Karen and JoAnn. They just don't make them like "Big Ed" anymore! I was lucky enough to become a "Boeve Comet" back in 1976. It took me quite awhile to figured out who belonged with who and who was related, etc. - some of the best years of my life. The "Comets; mighty - mighty Comets" were very close, like family - we ate, drank and slept softball for years together. You could tell that he was so proud of his girls Team and we, his girls would bust our butts for him. I am so sorry to hear of Ed's death. He was a tremendous guy. A strong man in so many ways and one that influenced me as a young boy. So many good memories of Ed. No matter what, you just could not help liking him. My thoughts to all the Boeves. I am sorry I can not be there.
