Wish I could be there for Ed's funeral. He was an amazing person. Even in his own health problems he spoke of a healing Lord and prayed all the time for others..asking always how other people were doing. We got to be with Ed in Ok/at Sandy's home,a recent visit. It was more than a heavenly time...well spent. We all had communion together one night, bibles in hand all five of us thanking the Lord for His goodness. I'd hear him in the house...singing to the Lord in his weakened voice..as if Jesus right right there in the room with him. He spoke so highly of his family, his brother and sisters were tops to him ...and he loved his Gary and Sandy with all his heart. I may add that he loved his "Patsy" and often his eyes would well up with tears, lovingly speaking of her. He'd say scripture and speak of the Lord as like a dear friend. Do you know Him like Ed? Like a dear friend? I saw Ed on Sunday morning here in Oklahoma...in his frail body, weakened from cancer ...stand to his feet with all of his strength to worship the Lord during a very touching song. It grabbed the hearts of all. Can we all stand to worship the Lord with Ed,? One time he said with tears, "I pray that some day I will be strong enough to get down on my knees to worship the Lord Jesus"...Can you see Ed the day he passed from this life onto heaven?
I can see it...Ed fell to his knees worshipping His Lord...only to get up and run in complete wholeness. Remember the blind man with Jesus who was healed, He went running, leaping and praising God. Man, run Ed...run. Thank you for all the memories. I was a childhood friend to Sandy and from there the weaving of life through the Katt family has touched our lives..even down to our own daughters. Thank you, ED...thank you. We shall see you oh so very soon! Debbie Smith-King##imported-begin##Debbie and Randy King##imported-end##
