Eileen E. Swanson's Obituary
Eileen E. Swanson, age 84, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 8, 2022. She was born July 10, 1938 in Pekin, IL to George and Beth (Blue) Berry. Eileen graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in teaching from Goshen College in Indiana and taught several years for the Holton and Oakridge Public School systems prior to her raising her family. On March 28, 1964, she married Russell C. Swanson in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2015. She was an active member of First Reformed Church in Ravenna. Eileen loved arts and crafts and was well known for making jewelry. She enjoyed word puzzles and along with her husband, Russ, were avid cruisers. In recent years, she enjoyed her once a week trips with Age Well Senior services and other local area groups. SURVIVORS include two sons: Ron (Ali) Swanson of Ravenna and Steve (Rebecca) Swanson of Sparta; 6 grandchildren: Benjamin, Anastasia, Caitlin, Thomas, Zachary (Rena VandenBerg), and Elise; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Henry, Charles, and John; and a sister, Esther. There will be a GRAVESIDE SERVICE held for Eileen 2:00 PM on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Hilton Cemetery in Casnovia.
