Eleanor L. Plichta's Obituary
Mrs. Eleanor L. Plichta, age 95, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006 in Grand Haven. She was born July 9, 1910 in Frankfurt, MI to Harley & Teri (Telleson) McIntosh, and had been a resident of Muskegon for most of her life. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Prior to her retirement she was a LPN for 15 years at Mercy and DeBoer Nursing Home, and was a baker for 20 years at Ryke’s. On December 24, 1929 she married Matthew “Matt” Plichta, and he preceded her in death on August 26, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gordon, in 1968. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Warren Plichta of Grand Haven, Phyllis (Harold) Fett of Grand Haven, Roger (Margaret) Plichta of Muskegon; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Taylor of North Muskegon; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A MEMORIAL MASS will be held 11 am Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ernest J. Bernott presiding. Memorial Contributions to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or North Ottawa Hospice would be appreciated.
