Dear Chuck: Please accept my condolences in the death of your mom. I don't know if you will remember me or not, but I'm the oldest of the "Hartman" kids from down the block on Winters Street.
I had the privilege of working with your mom at the Red Cross and getting to know her again. She was also the worker on call the night that my grandson was born, and she made the call to my son's Army unit that notified him of the birth of his youngest son. I remember how nice it was to be able to share that with someone I knew.
Although I lost my mother almost 40 years ago, I've also learned that we are never ready to lose a parent--no matter how old we are. Please know that you are in my thoughts.
Sincerely, MaryAnne Hartman Maycroft##imported-begin##MaryAnne Hartman Maycroft##imported-end##
