Elida was a special lady. Our families kind of melted together, thanks to my Uncle Joaquin. As I grew up, she remained a special person in my life. If I was driving by her house, and saw her and Valdemar sitting in the driveway, I'd swing by and say hello. She always welcomed with open arms.
