Ellwyn H. “Al” Hanson, age 85, of Grand Haven died Saturday, September 13, 2008, at his home.
Al was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and is survived by his loving wife, Helen, five daughters; Margaret Hanson at home, Kathy Hanson of Grand Haven, Jane (Robert) Siegel of Grand Rapids, Paula (Tom) Byrne of Grand Haven, Eileen (Jeff) Markovicz of Grand Haven, a son, Tom (Judy) Hanson of Grand Haven, and a son-in-law, Kenny Morris of Florida.
The funeral liturgy for Al will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rev. William Langlois as celebrant. Friends may meet the family Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven (PLEASE USE NEW EAST ENTRANCE) with a scripture service Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. Memorials to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church are appreciated.
