Wish there was some way Alf and I could be there for the funeral. She was my Sunday School teacher at one time, and a dear friend of my mother's. I don't remember much my Sunday School teachers said, but I very much remember their love for me, and Mrs. McCann was no exception. And now she is with Him - what a glorious reception there! Aunt Emo, My Dad's Sister was a model for us as a Loving Christian and our very own Prayer Warrior. As a small boy, I visited her and attended Bible School. I am sure that this was one of my first introduction to a life long faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. Dad passed in 1984, Mom in 2003 and Uncle Joe just this February. We visited her on her 100th Birthday. What a blessing to see her and spend some time with her. She will be missed. Our prayers go out for the family. Thank you so much for sharing your dear family member with us! Over the past years, she mentored, befriended, challenged, and blessed me innumberable times!
She loved life, but longed for heaven. She stayed doggedly faithful to her Lord and His Word. She prayed without ceasing. She experienced physical agony, yet never focused on it, and only mentioned it when asked. She cared deeply for many. She listened, listened, and listened some more, then gave sage, succint advice sparingly. She loved to laugh, yet knew the urgency of life. What a role model!
I am so thankful that she is now enjoying perfect fellowship with the Lord she loved and served very well. I imagine her gleefully reveling in His presence, her eyes sparkling, having received His "Well done!" as she entered heaven.##imported-begin##Michelle Lenz##imported-end##

Marilyn, Karen & Johnny.... Gram was such a beautiful woman, precious, Godly, loving. My favorite memories of her are her laugh... seeing her eyes sparkle when she talked about her family and her Lord... her quilts, her frogs, her common-sense wisdom, her KJV Bible, her deep faith in God, her prayers, her love. She was an amazing woman, a treasure beyond description... and now she is a jewel in heaven, laughing, dancing, and having a grand ol' time with her beloved Lord Jesus.
