Emogene (McLean) McCann's Obituary
Mrs. Emogene McCann, age 103, passed away Easter Sunday afternoon at a local nursing home. She was born March 6, 1906 in Bakersville, PA. Emogene married George McCann on August 13, 1924 and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1970. Emogene was a caring Christian lady and a witness right up until the end of her days. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. Emogene was a member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1944, where she had taught Sunday school for over 50 years. She was also involved with many women’s groups and activities at the church. She is SURVIVED by her son, William (Deane) of Lehigh, FL; her daughter -in-law and caregiver, Marilyn McCann; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Emogene was preceded in death by her son, John; a grandson; her sister, Freda; and her 2 brothers, Joseph and John. VISITATION will be Wednesday evening from 6-8PM and 1 hour prior to the service (11AM-Noon) on Thursday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Christian Care or Continental Baptist Missions.
