Erhard Carlson's Obituary
Mr. Erhard Carlson, age 93, passed away, Wednesday, May 21, 2009. He was born October 25, 1915 in Muskegon to Albin and Olga (Nelson) Carlson and has lived in the area all of his life. Mr. Carlson worked for CWC Textron for over 40 years, retiring in 1978 as the purchasing agent. He loved to travel, play bridge, square dance and study biblical archaeology. He was also an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels. On October 28, 1939 he married Gertrude Holton in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on June 15, 2007. He is survived by 2 children, Thomas (Teresa) Carlson of Beverly Hills, MI and Wayne (Kathleen Anne) Carlson of Lansing, MI; 1 granddaughter, Licia Carlson (Jeremiah Frank) of Boston, MA; 1 great-grandson, Julian Carlson Frank of Boston, MA; 1 sister-in-law, Mary Hessel of Muskegon and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Bruce Carlson who passed away June 1, 2007 and 2 brothers, John and Thurston Carlson.
