Ethel Pauline Hippchen's Obituary
Mrs. Ethel Pauline Hippchen, age 85, passed away Friday, January 11, 2008 in Muskegon. She was born on May 20, 1922 in Lima, OH to Harry and Ethel (Shade) McPheron, and had resided in the area for most of her life. On June 1, 1940 she married Charles A. “Whitey” Hippchen, and he preceded her in death on September 13, 1992. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Charlotte LouAllen of Fruitport, Ruth Ann (Ronald) Maka of Walkerville, Charles (Vietta) Hippchen of Muskegon, Thomas (Dollie) Hippchen of Muskegon, Sandra Hippchen of Fruitport and Dennis (Jean) Hippchen of Warner Robbins, GA; 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; brother, Bill (Laverne) McPheron of Greenville, SC; sister, Ida Rose Larabee of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Myrtle McPheron of Fruitport; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hippchen was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Jimmy McPheron, Charles McPheron, Wayne McPheron, Lawrence McPheron; and sister, Marguerite Mabrey. SERVICES will be 1 PM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Dennis Stroh officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, and 1 hour prior to the service from 12-1 PM. Burial will take place in Fruitland Township Cemetery.
