Laurel and family - I've just received word of Gene's homegoing from Erik in Kosovo. I have no words that are helpful, but there are memories! Gene's years of service at Maranatha meant so much to many people - Erik and Dawn wish that they were here! Gene was truly a mentor to many summer staffers, both within his supervision and within other services. And I can't do justice to telling of what his friendship meant to Norm. Those two were quite the pair! We valued our friendship with you and Gene very highly, and I still am your friend. May you and yours find comfort from our Lord, and in your memories of Gene, as he is safely with our Lord now. Mary Benson
