EUGENE G. "Jerry" Maycroft's Obituary
Eugene G. “Jerry” Maycroft, age 75, was born August 22, 1947 to Eugene C. and Alice (Thornberg) Maycroft. He died July 11, 2023 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jerry loved traveling with the Maycroft Square Tappers, fishing at his parents’ property, Friday night football games, Tigers baseball, classical music, a good game of checkers or cribbage, latch hook rugs, and bad jokes. He had a quick wit and clever observations on life. Jerry is remembered as a loving, caring person whose helpfulness allowed many of his elderly neighbors to remain in their homes. He had a strong faith and was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Norton Shores. Jerry was a wonderful brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his brother Randal (Leslie) Maycroft of Bloomington, MN and his sisters Debra (Thomas) Bolthouse of Rockford, MI, Nanette (Davey) Gonzales of Muskegon MI, and Kathy (Dan) Kammeraad of Zeeland, MI. He will also be missed by 15 nieces and nephews and numerous friends and relatives. A special thank you to his Pinewood Retirement Home family for their loving care of Jerry for the past 7 years.
