Eunice D. Jones' Obituary
Mrs. Eunice D. Jones, age 92, loving and devoted mother and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, April 22, 2010. She was born July 18, 1917 in Bay City, MI to Emil and Adelaide (Maron) Wahl and was a 1933 graduate of Walkerville High School. Mrs. Jones worked for G.T.E./Verizon for 18 years before her retirement in 1978, and was a member of the Local IBEW Union #1106. On July 18, 1934 she married Julius G. Jones in Bitely, MI and he preceded her in death on January 2, 1987. She had a loving spirit and was always there to lend a helping hand to someone in need. Mrs. Jones was an avid gardener and took pride in her garden. She also enjoyed cooking and going to the beach at Lake Michigan. But most of all, she loved her family and friends. She will be dearly missed. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Dale (Jacqueline) Jones of White Cloud, Beverly Evans of Mesa, AZ, Marlene Frantz of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Inez and Shirley; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson; 4 sisters; and 2 brothers. VISITATION with the family will be from 3-6 PM Sunday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with the Funeral Service held 11:00 AM Monday morning. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
