Evelyn Hage's Obituary
Evelyn Hage, age 85, died peacefully and went to be with her Lord on January 22, 2004 while a resident at Brookhaven Medical Care Facility. Evelyn resided at Pine Grove Manor for many years prior to moving to BrookhavenEvelyn Hage is survived by her son, Marvin L. Hage and his wife Miriam of Wilmington, NC, grandchildren, William Hage of Raleigh, NC, Elizabeth Hage of Alexandria, VA. John Hage and his wife Anna of Princeton, NJ. Her family also shares in the loss of her beloved sister, Lucile Harrington of Muskegon who preceded her in death on January 21, 2004. Both Evelyn and Lucile were blessed to have been part of a loving, supportive family. Surviving are John and Linnea Slager, C.J. Harrington, Leona and Gary VanDonkelaar, Betty and Frank Hansen, Bob Slager, Tom and Maria Slager and her beloved sister-in-law, Helen Hage. She was a caring aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn Hage was born March 14, 1918 in Muskegon, Michigan to Peter and Mabel Slager. She married Ralph Hage, June 25, 1940 and resided in Muskegon her entire life. She was a devoted member of Evanston Avenue Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and served Him throughout her life. She was a living example to her children and grandchildren of selflessness and acceptance of all God’s children.
