Faye M. Holmen's Obituary
Mrs. Faye M. Holmen, age 75 died Thursday, December 25, 2020 surrounded by her family at home in Michigan after a long battle with cancer. She was an incredibly kind, loving, and giving person who shared the love and hope of Jesus Christ. Faye was born April 12, 1945 in Marquette, MI. She graduated from Graveraet High School in Marquette, MI in 1963 and received an Associate degree from Northern Michigan University in 1966. On August 27, 1966 she married David T. Holmen who preceded her in death. She is survived by their son, Brian Holmen of Muskegon, MI, grandsons Branden (Lilly) and Christopher (Josey) Holmen and great grandsons Julian and Hayden Holmen. She is also survived by their daughter Sheri Holmen (Matthew) VanBrocklin of Salt Lake City, UT, and grandchildren, Brooke and Evan VanBrocklin. Preceding her in death were her parents Philip Clish and Ruth Priebe and her brother Martin Clish. Left to mourn her passing is her sister Nola (Jack) McConaha of Little Lake, MI, brother-in-law Allan (Sharon) Holmen of Arnolds Park, IA, sister-in-law Sharon (Bob) Kelley of Spirit Lake, IA, and brother-in-law Larry (Susan) Holmen of Longmont, CO along with numerous nieces and nephews. Faye worked as an Administrative Assistant at Muskegon Community College for 17 years until her retirement in 2004. A celebration of life service will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at First Evangelical Church (1206 Whitehall Rd) with Pastor Bill Uetricht officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10 - 11 AM.
